How do we carry out the program? here is the uniqueness of  organizing this HIP Outreach program..

The teachers trained the pupils to carry out all the program on pre-date. They were trained, simulated and retrained until they have confident to handle the program by themselves. The pupils were mainly from form 1 Rafflesia who were to handle Language Contest Stations. We have arranged the English Language activities into 4 stations. They are 1. Treasure Hunt, 2. Crossword Puzzle, 3. Spelling Bee and lastly 4. Short Essay Writing. 

The theme of this time HIP outreach program is Patriotism. The participants were also coming from the School's feeder schools and the kindergarten kids. The Primary schools involved were:-

1. SJKC Kong Hwa, Kaki Bukit, 

2. SK Lubuk Sireh, 

3. Sk Titi Tinggi, 

4. SK Felda Mata Ayer 

5. Sk Guar Jentik.

The students facilitators were to handle everything, including to select the winners of every contest set. The teachers were just monitoring from afar as to be the guides if they have missed anything. The teacher also monitor the time frame and as the reminder for the student facilitators to commit to the time frame.

All form 1 until form 3 students were involved. Form 4 & form 5 students were siting for Mid-year Examination.

From the feedback, the teachers could see that the pupils were able to handle the program by themselves and they really learn to master the tasks given to them, because they know that they are to be accounted to make sure that the program has to be successful if not it will give bad impression of the outsiders (teachers and pupils from primary and kindergarten schools) towards the school. Here is the philosophy of organizing the HIP outreach this way.

Fajar class for 2023 SPM candidates

Starting from 11 September 2023, as for English Language teachers have carried out an extra class in the early morning, named as Fajar Extra Class Program. The school has planned to optimize the pupils' time to learn something. As for English class, we had drill the pupils with Examination format questions,

Hope that these pupils will be able to answer SPM examination with flying colours. The class has be tabled every twice a week for English lesson. Thanks to teacher Lim Yee Fong, Mr Jegiathisan, Miss Nurhabibi, Mr Mohd Naim, Mr Mustafizur and Mr Mohd Asri.

Highly Immersive Programme (HIP) with foreigner (Kyrgystan).

Monday 22nd May 2023, English Panel has organized a program with Mr Bahtiyar a traveler from Kyrgystan. The students involved were from 4 Nebula, 4 Atrium and 1 KRK. In this session, Mr Bahtiyar spoke on his journey, his experience traveling to many countries. The students asked a lot of questions and at the end, Mr Bahtiyar asked them questions too. Students were so excited to get to know someone from other country and moreover were also willing to share his experience, knowledge and thought.

PBD management upskill with Deputy Director

 On 12th April 2023, The school administrators, all English Panel members had a meeting with Deputy Director of Education, Perlis, Tuan Ayub bin Ahmad and he accompanied by Pn Wan Norlita of ELO and Pn Suhana, JPN officer. In this meeting, we have discussed on improving the Classroom Based Assessment (PBD) in school. 

This meeting has enlightened all English Panel members on how to administer the PBD better way and help documenting and monitoring the process of marks analysis of PBD.

  

Welcome new teacher for 2023/24 session

 We are greatful to welcome Mr Lim Yee Fong into English Panel. As informed, this is Mr Lim's first posting. He is from Selangor and he is so happy to help teach the pupils in this remote area to improve English and to see the outside world.
