'Menggapai Bintang 2023' drilling class for SPM candidates.

Every 2 or 3 weeks, there will be English Language Panel turn to run evening special class for 2023 SPM candidates. All English teachers are involve to help the kids to understand the questions and the answers of the drilling papers. The activity normally will be hosted by SPM teachers and the other English Language teachers will assist the students at the table.

The students are sitting in group and they may discussed the questions while sharing the language skills with the group members.

This activity has benefited the kids as they have chance to ask teachers directly and they are more refresh after they have taken shower and they pray 'maghrib' after that they have dinner before the class began.

 

Langkawi Study Tour - 2023

 On the 24th November, almost 60 SPM candidates from SMK Raja Puan Muda Tengku Fauziah departed Kuala Perlis Jetty to Kuah Jetty in Langkawi Island. They were also accompanied by 13 teachers and stayed at Rasa Senang Resort at Chenang Beach area. They spent 2 nights there and the sessions were divided into a few slots for the subject teachers to drill them. 

One of the slot was English Language subject which were coached by teacher Lim Yee Fong and teacher Mohd Asri bin Mat Isa. For English Language slot, the kids were drilled on paper 1 - reading comprehension and at the end of the session, they did phrasal verbs drilling. 

As a whole, this program has given the students more exposure on their personal experience and they were more motivated to learn in new and different environment. The Excellent Committee were looking forward to making this program as an annual program in the future.

English Telematch for HIP 2.0 & Hari 4K 2023

 On 8th of November 2023, English Panel and ELS had organized an English Telematch for HIP 2.0 in conjuction with "Hari 4K 2023". It is also in conjunction with " Silang Budaya' program or Cross Culture Program with Thailand's school- Whattaya Kuandhon from Satun, Thailand.

In this program, the students were trained to be the facilitators to run the contests. There were 10 stations.

Program assessment- the committee found out that this program had given a chance to the students to handle the contests and to decide the rules and regulations as to make the activities run. The kids were more enthusiastic and each of them was awarded with certificate.

HIP with Canadian tourists

 On 10th November 2023, the school was visited by 2 Canadian Travelers, Miss Emma and Mr Benjamin. It was early in the morning and all students were having assembly. The principal had welcome them and asked their willingness to speak on the stage as to introduce themselves and to some advices to the pupils. 

After the assembly, the students were having 'Gotong-royong" to clean the 'Hari 4K' carnival compound by the school canteen. While they were tidying and cleaning up, the students approached them and they start to chat with both of them. It seems that they were trying their best to communicate with the English Native Speakers. 

This program had given a good exposure to the kids and they were so brave to speak to the native speakers using all the vocabulary they have. The photos tell...

 

Newsletter 2023 is launched

 On Monday 16th Octobet 2023. 

Poem recital competition- we are the 4th from 22 schools

 It was 13th September 2023, 2 students from SMK Raja Puan Muda Tengku Fauziah, Syarifah Syafiyah binti Syed Afzanizam, 3 KRK and  Nur Aina Saffiya binti Haron 3 KRK have won 4th place of Perlis State Lower Secandary School Poem Recital Competition from 22 schools participated. They were awarded certificate and  medal for the state level.

 They have made us proud and once again, during the closing ceremony of SnapEdd #09, Perlis International Education Expo 2023 which was held on 24th September 2023, they were once again, given an honour to reread the poem, which was originally composed by them "Our World" on the stage. With that, they were once again achieved international certificate for the performance for the event.

Both of them have uplifted our school name.

Kajian Impak Cefr at here- by Sisc+

 On 21st September 2023, Mr Elmi and Mr Badril of Sisc+ came to do a study on the impact of Cefr among the students and teachers.

Excellent SPM candidates - camp at Pusat Transformasi Nelayan

On 8th until 10th September 2023, the curriculum committee had set up a special drilling camp for the good students. They are 54 students who took part. It was named "Kem Semarak Ilmu" and the venue chosen was at Pusat Transformasi Nelayan at Kuala Sungai Baru, Perlis. 

The kids stayed at the chalets and dormitory. They really enjoyed the stay and the hall at this centre is very comfortable and conducive for the students to learn. English trainers were handled by Mr Mohd Asri and Mr Mustafizur Rahman. 

The students were drilled with part 2 - 4 of paper 1 and email writing question. Out of the 54 pupils attended the program, 50 pupils passed in the Mid-Year Examination.
